The Palms Cliff House Inn Sign

I’ve been driving past The Palms Cliff House Inn entrance (Hwy 19, ocean side, just north of Hilo) for over five years, promising myself to stop there one day to see the property.  This afternoon, I had a chance to attend a “High Tea” at the Inn.

We were lucky enough to be there on one of the most stunning “blue sky” days I’ve seen in a while…of course, it may have just seemed more amazing because we were enjoying the day with friends in such a beautiful tropical retreat!

Here are a few photos from our morning:

Mahalo to John and Michele Gamble and the staff for making our afternoon so enjoyable!

The Menu:

Savory: Maui Onion Tart and Broccoli & Italian Pancetta Quiche

Sweets: Carrot Walnut Cream Cheese Mini Muffins, Blueberry Tea Mini Muffins, Chocolate Dipped Cream Puff, Peach Scone with Clotted Cream and Jam (desserts not pictured above, but they were SO good!)

Choice of tea:

Passion for Hawaii Tea – A long leaf black tea scented with pure Lilikoi fruit nectar, papaya and pineapple fruits, along with beautiful floras

Emma’s Rose Tea – A beautiful black tea deeply scented with roses. (I had this one…divine!)
